I was really looking forward to racing at Silverstone GP for Round 9 Superstock1000. But due to what happened at MotoGP it was cancelled and decided to run on the much smaller National Circuit. Turns it out it was a great decision, bringing some really close racing in all classes.

Friday practice went well in the dry, improving in every session. Saturday qualifying was wet, I showed good pace early on up to 24th. Unfortunately, I pitted too late and dropped to 31st. Not leaving myself enough time to get back up to where I was.

Big 2 x 24 lap race Saturday, it dried up nicely and off we went. First half went well managing to get 29th on the last lap. Pit stop ran smoothly, massive thanks to the team. Part 2 I didn’t make the best start but eventually managed to close a big gap to a group of 5 or 6. Unfortunately I asked too much of the front tyre over a nasty bump and down I went. Not too much damage, quick fix and ready for Sunday.

Sunday’s race main target was to get into 56’s, as I was lapping consistently in low 57’s on Saturday. I made a great start from 33rd up to 28th but the red flag came out. I got to restart from 29th, the start wasn’t as good and struggled with edge grip throughout coming home in 29th.

Really happy with how the weekend went. I was a lot closer to riders that have been a lot faster than me all year, in both wet and dry. And I mainly just enjoyed going racing!
