In Races

Friday practice was a steady start for us, having only been here once before and such a tough track to get right. We managed to match last year’s lap time and knew where we could find more time.

Out for qualifying on Saturday and the changes felt really good and we managed a new pb. Looking forward to race 1 and working on a different line through some key areas of the track, we felt we could go quicker in the race. However, race 1 ended at turn 3 after a good start making up a few places, I got clipped by another rider and went down pretty hard. Causing quite a bit of damage to my left leg, mainly bruising, swelling and little movement.

Massive thanks to the team, the bike got some serious loving and all fixed ready for Sunday. I went out for warm up just to see if racing was an option but struggled with any movement on the bike and my knee feeling like it was popping out. After returning to the med centre for some more checks. With signs of damage to my MCL and possible ACL damage, but hard to assess due to excess swelling. I decided it would be best not to race. Risk over reward just wasn’t worth it. For this I’m very sorry to the team for all their hard work.

We will see how the leg heals over the next few days and hopefully will be back on the bike next weekend at Donington Park.

Big thanks to all our sponsors, Lee Bailey Joinery and Building, Alert Logistics, K&L Plastering, Hycross 2000, Steve Sirrell Ltd @ Bike Tyres Leeds, K&N filters, R&G crash protection, JAB Racing, Rock Oil, Performance Friction, Club70.
