In Races

Round 2 Superstock1000 at Oulton Park was a bit of a mess with problems in every session losing a lot of track time.

Qualifying was a bit frantic with a chain issue on the 1st lap, after getting that sorted, I struggled to find some pace. Not really stringing a good lap together even though I matched my pb. Eventually qualifying 40th. But at least we qualified and knew where to make improvements for the race.

Unfortunately race day was wet for us and after morning warm up being cancelled due to the track being contaminated. A wet setting was a bit of a guess. We went for 2 sighting laps as there was signs of it drying and thought about risking a dry rear. But it was just too wet off line. After a couple of laps not really making any progress I started to push on and really enjoyed the race finishing 24th in the end.

Looking forward to making some more progress at Donington in a few weeks.
